“Get your mind right” is a phrase that Todd Durkin often says.? I was fortunate to attend his mentorship at his facility, Fitness Quest 10, in April this year.? While the mentorship was for fitness entrepreneurs, many of the life coaching lessons we learned can be applied to anyone.
Here’s a question that I want you to really think about:? How often do you make excuses for skipping a workout or over-eating?? Before you continue reading, answer this question honestly.? Now ask yourself if your excuses are legitimate or weak.
I think most of us will find that our excuses are just ways to make us feel better about our decisions. If you continue to let yourself off the hook, you will never achieve your goals. I know it’s hard, but you have to clearly define your priorities. “A goal, not in writing, is simply a wish.” Take five minutes to write down what you want to achieve and then read it every morning when you wake up.?
?
I read a lot of books about business success.? There is a common theme in all of them:? attitude.? You will have to work hard for success, but a positive attitude and belief in yourself makes success easier.? I think this is true, not only in business, but also in fitness.? Put in the time knowing that you will lose weight and guess what, you will.
?”The only things that stand between a person and what they want in life are the will to try it and the faith to believe it’s possible.” ~Rich DeVos
Go. Take action.? Get your mind right!
